PCCIJ Polish Week in Kyoto - part of the "National Week" series by Kyoto University of Foreign Studies

December 12-16, 2011 - PCCIJ held an event at Kyoto University of Foreign Studies (www.kufs.ac.jp) in co-operation with the Embassy of Poland and the Kyoto University of Foreign Studies as a part of the "National Week" series called "Connecting with the World" organized by the university's International Education Dept.

December 12 (Monday)

Opening Ceremony (Opening Declaration for National Week)

Symposium “Poland and Japan - History of Goodwill and Friendship"

16:00-16:30: Meeting between Chancellor Yoshikazu Morita of the University and Madam Ambassador, Mr. Yuichi Kusumoto and other guests.
16:30: Transfer to symposium venue.
16:40: Opening of the Symposium. Opening remarks by Mr. Takeshi Matsuda, University President.
16:45-17:25: Chopin Piano Recital
17:25-17:45: Lecture: H.E. Madam Jadwiga Maria Rodowicz-Czechowska, Ph. D., Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland, Honorary Chairman of PCCIJ
17:45-17:55: Speech by Mr. Piotr R. Suszycki, PCCIJ Chairman
17:45-18:05: Lecture: Mr. Yuichi Kusumoto, Ambassador to Kansai, former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Poland 18:05: Closing remarks by Prof. Craig Smith, Dean of Department of Global Studies
