A business mission from Takaoka City, Toyama Pref. visited Poland from May 14, 2012 till May 21, 2012 in order to learn more about business environment in Poland and establish better relations, especially with the Opole City region. Poland has been the only country in the EU to enjoy a steady economic growth for many years and proves to be a very attractive place to do business. The mission visited Warsaw (Embassy of Japan, JETRO Poland, hold various business meetings), then moved to Wroclaw, Opole and Krakow. In Opole a series of meetings with the local authorities as well as business representatives were held. The mission also visited Opole High School No. 3 named after Maria Sklodowska-Curie in order to meet with young generation of Poles, and visited one of Opole’s Kindergartens No. 55. The purpose off these visits was to establish friendly relations corresponding institutions in Japan, one of them Ashinome Kindergarten in Kesennuma City, Miyagi Pref.
