December 12-16, 2011 - Polish event was held at Kyoto University of Foreign Studies by PCCIJ in co-operation with the Embassy of Poland and the Kyoto University of Foreign Studies. On Dec 16, 2011 (Fri) at Symposium "Japan and Poland -History of Goodwill and Friendship" among the speaker guests were H.E. Jadwiga Maria Rodowicz-Czechowska, Ph. D., Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland, Ambassador of Poland, Honorary Chairman of PCCIJ, H.E. October 15-16, 2011 - a big Polish event is to be organized at Roppongi Hills on October 15 (Sat) and 16 (Sun), 2011 by the Embassy of Poland in Tokyo, Polish tourism Organization and co-organized by PCCIJ. The visitors will be able to enjoy many attractions. More info coming soon.

May 11-13, 2011 - Japan IT Week, one of the biggest IT shows was held at the Tokyo Big Site between May 11 and May 13, 2011. Poland was represented by the Trade and Investment Promotion Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, PARP as well as PCCIJ. Polish IT sector was represented by Forever Entertainment S.A. 21 April, 2011 (Thu) - H.E. Mr. Hans Dietmar Schweisgut, the former Ambassador of Austria to the European Union, who previously had been Austria's ambassador to Japan, became the new Ambassador of the EU Delegation to Japan. - Night of Million Cranes in Warsaw - Polish Artists for Japan
April 1, 2011 - A special charity concert dedicated to the victims of the destructive earthquake and tsunami in Japan was held in Warsaw at the Fabryka Trzciny.

| Anna Maria Jopek, Justyna Steczkowska, Marcin Wasilewski Trio, Henryk Miskiewicz and other Polish musicians performed. Another charity event was held on April 2, 2011 in order to introduce the traditional Japanese culture. Proceeds from these events will go to PAH (Polish Humanitarian Action) -> www.pah.org.pl which will be assisted by the PCCIJ in providing assistance to the vicitms of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. This movement is under the honorary patronage of Ms Anna Komorowska, wife of the President of Poland, Mr Bronislaw Komorowski and the Polish Embassy in Tokyo. More info... |

- Contributions for the earthquake and tsunami victims in Japan
March 12, 2011 - PCCIJ has begun collecting emergency contributions for the victims of the catastrophic earthquake which hit northern Japan on Friday, Mar. 11, 2011 and triggered great tsunami waves. We kindly ask for your co-operation.
As of 13 April, 2011 we collected 1,255,000 yen. Many thanks to the donors. More info

- "Polish Christmas Night / Bonenkai"
9 December, 2010 (Thu) 18:30 - 20:30 - "Polish Christmas Night / Bonenkai" - was held at Hotel New Ohtani, Floor 1 (The Main Bldg. Banquet Floor),
Room name: Palazzo Otani. Admission: free of charge by invitation.
At the event, the unique regional Christmas traditions from the Silesian region in the southern part of Poland, were introduced.
And for the most lucky guests Santa Clause prepared many very nice surprises which were won in our gift lottery.

- Polish booth at the "Christmas of The Nations"
26 November, 2010 - 26 December, 2010 An event called "Christmas of The Nations" was held in Osaka at the Osaka Business Park (OBP) (Panasonic Center) where PCCIJ will have our booth with Polish merchandise. The support for this event comes from the OBP, Panasonic, Osaka City, embassies, Yomiuri Broadcasting, MBS, numerous radio stations and sponsors.

- Polish booth at the FIVB Women's Volleyball World Championship Japan 2010
29 October 29, 2010 - 14 November, 2010 - The FIVB Women's Volleyball World Championship Japan 2010 was held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium where PCCIJ along with the Embassy of Poland had our booth with Polish merchandise. The event was featured by the opening match between Poland and Japan on October 29. - "CIACHO”or "Superheroes" - Polish Action Love Comedy - International Premiere in Japan
18 September, 2010 (Sat) - at the 3rd Old Town Taito International Comedy Film Festival. "Ciacho" is a Polish box office hit with Polish top stars, directedy by Patryk Vega - one of the hottest names in the film world. The film was the most anticipated openning of the year 2010 and outrun competitors such as "Sherlock Holmes", "Nine" or "Valentine's Day". Superheroes is an action comedy, with plenty of frenetic chases, amusing dialoqes and also heart-pounding plots. More info...

17 September, 2010 (Fri) - "Polish Day in Makuhari" - the fith of the series of Polish Days, part of the "Chopin Project", was held at Hotel The Manhattan. The hotel is proud of owning a unique grand piano, the same model which Fryderyk Chopin, the great Polish composer used to play in the past. The piano recital was performed by Ms. Lisa Nakazono, a very talented your Japanese pianist. The guests were able to enjoy Polish quisine and experience, try & buy purhcase various Polish goods. - President of Poland Mr. Lech Kaczynski killed in the presidential plane crash
April 10, 2010 - President Lech Kaczynski was killed Saturday when a plane carrying senior Polish officials on their way to a memorial service in Russia crashed at an airport in Smolensk. 96 people were killed including the president's wife, Mrs. Maria Kaczynska, senior military chiefs, the deputy parliament speaker, the deputy foreign minister, the head of the National Bank of Poland, parliament members and many other officials. The aim of the Polish Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan is to foster economic exchanges between the nations of Japan and Poland, particularly in the area of trade. In order to realize this aim the new chamber of commerce will work to establish ties with the governments of Japan and Poland, key parties in the EU and prominent business leaders.
The Polish Chamber of Commerce and Industry is now looking for new members. Regular membership is open to all corporations, economic organizations and individuals, both inside and outside Japan, that support the aims of the Polish Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The representatives of corporations and organizations in both Japan and Poland are particularly welcomed.
